It's now possible to overlay your Jabber UC functionality within your web application with Collaboration-Enabled Business Transformation (CEBT) from Cisco.

CEBT provides a technology layer that automatically knows when business processes should happen, which then triggers the appropriate Unified Communications action (eg a voice message, IM, WebEx, video call etc) within your Jabber-enabled web app.

For example, if - within your inventory-maintenance app - an inventory item is malfunctioning, the CEBT process highlights this and prompts the relevant trigger, with no human interaction necessary – for example, it sends an IM to the relevant contact, or prompts a WebEx discussion.
