What version control is supported for APIs?
XML API have version controlled access. API version is tied to the WBS version for compatibility. For example, WBS 28 is supported by XML API 7.3.0. WBS 29 is supported by XML API 8.0.0. Between major version releases of WBS, we need a major version change, since we introduce new functionality which will need to be supported by APIs and might not be available in older version of Trains/APIs. Integrators are required to upgrade their integrations and perform regression testing to stay up to date with new versions.

What is an API lockdown?
API lockdown is tied to a production site lockdown. If a Webex site is locked down on a version, the integration should use one of the matching XML API version for that lockdown. For example if a site lockdown version is not available, APIs for that release cannot be locked down as well. This implies that we are still adding some new functionality to that version of the API. If a site version can be locked down, and integrations have upgraded to the new API version, we will ensure backward compatibility for the rest of that combination.
